Northampton Town FC have partnered with Football105 to run an international football academy that would provide aspiring footballers between the ages of 18 and 23 with the opportunity to develop like a professional player, among first-class facilities, and expert guidance from UEFA A Licence coaches.
The first NTFC IFA course took place in April 2021 and players lived, studied, and trained at Moulton College – one of the leading sports facilities in the Midlands. They were exposed to regular training, analysis sessions, strength and conditioning, fitness testing, nutrition and healthy lifestyle advice, and matches against Northampton Town youth teams, all regularly watched by club staff.
They also received education sessions through Football105’s close relationship with the Institute of Sport – an esteemed education provider for organisations worldwide – and media training by Final Third Sports Media who have worked with football clubs, academies, and leagues in England, Canada, and USA.
