In April 2015 FootballCV created and organised a unique event for Northamptonshire charity, the Leon Barwell Foundation.
The Foundation’s aims were to raise its exposure as well as funds to help ‘make memories’ for families in the County where a parent is suffering from cancer.
FootballCV bought together the County’s sporting legends, and a few special guests, from football, rugby and cricket to compete in a football match at Sixfields Stadium, Northampton Town FC.
With the likes of World Cup winners Jason Robinson and Mike Catt as special guests joining Matt Dawson, Ben Cohen from Northampton Saints and Allan Lamb and Mal Loye from the Steelbacks much exposure was gained in the local press and regional TV.
Guest Managers included Sir Ian McGeechan, Kevin Wilson and Ian Atlkins and the event raised over £25,000 through ticket sales, sponsorship, programme sales, text donations and auctions to play with the ‘legends’.
